Why the title?

Ecclesiastes 3:1

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven

I'm a graduate student and work full time. I really shouldn't take on a blog, but this is just an informal one. A way to share pictures and ideas. Whew! Less pressure that way.

I love my blog title. I'm usually trying to find time in the day or week to do all the things I want to do. I want so many things - to finally have nice, grown-up looking fingernails, to bake bread, to finish my homework, to plan my next recital, and do laundry, to send birthday cards this year, to call my grandmother, and maybe even slow down enough to chat with my husband.

Here's a quote I like:

"The difficult thing for women in creating a life they can feel is prime is that they must make so many choices between things that are good. For example, it is a good thing to bake bread, have a job, read a book, go for a walk, do volunteer work, have a baby or get a degree - but each woman must choose what is best for herself.

We cannot do everything, all the time, all at once. We can, through the years, do many things, at different times, one at a time. All those years, all those choices, and all those experiences can add up to prime time"

Right now, it's time for me to post this and go roast a chicken for dinner.
